The Club's ski season revolves around the actual Jackrabbit sessions. This year, because of the closures at Cypress due to the 2010 Winter Olympics, our ski season commences earlier than usual on Saturday December 12^th, 2009 and ends on January 31^st, 2010. We also have many other events happening over the season.

• We encourage everyone to attend our AGM and Club Buy Night to be held on October 30^th at Deep Cove Outdoors at 4310 Gallant Avenue in Deep Cove. The Buy Night starts at 6:00 p.m. followed by the AGM at 8:00 p.m.
   
• This year's ski swap is being held at Sigge's Sport Villa in Vancouver on November 8^th from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. Bring your outgrown ski equipment (bring it in to Sigge's any time before the swap) to sell or trade and outfit your family with better fitting used or new equipment.
  
  
• Club members like to be on the tracks skiing as soon as Cypress opens, which we hope will be by early December. Our Racing Program hits the trails as soon as they can. The cross country area typically opens well before the downhill area is ready.
  
  
• In late December, Cypress puts on two great family events: Breakfast with Santa and the New Year's Family BBQ. Both events are favourites of Club members so come out and join the fun.
  
  
• As early as October and November, with the Introduction to Community Coaching course for new coaches, training starts for club volunteers. Check the schedule below for specific dates.
   
• The club helps organize and participates in Coast Cup #1 in December. And this year cross country Olympic and Paralympic competitions take place in February and March at Whistler Olympic Park in the Callaghan Valley, at which some of our club officials will be volunteering.
  
  
• The season will wrap up with the volunteer appreciation evening in March.

Because the Cypress Mountain ski area is closed all of February and part of March for the 2010 Winter Olympics, we are only able to offer seven sessions for the 2009/10 season.

• Session B Saturdays 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Dec 12, 19 Jan 2, 9, 16, 23, 30
• Session C Sundays 9:00 - 11:30 a.m. Dec 13, 20 Jan 3, 10, 17, 24, 31
• Session D Sundays 1:00 - 3:30 p.m. Dec 13, 20 Jan 3, 10, 17, 24, 31

Jackbunny morning sessions are 9:15 - 11:15 a.m. and afternoon sessions are 1:15 - 3:15 p.m.

Track Attack sessions are being offered during the morning sessions and Saturday PM only and are two hours long (9:00 - 11:00). The Saturday PM session is for returning Track Attack members only.

Jackrabbit Level 3 or 4, Track Attack - Additional Wednesday or Thursday evening, 6:30 - 7:45 p.m. for Jackrabbits and 6:45 - 8:00 p.m. for Track Attack. There is also a session for level 3 or 4 on Tuesday afternoon from 4:00 to 5:15. Attending the weeknight session for Level 3/4 and Track Attack, although optional, is strongly encouraged so that participants receive the most benefit from the program. The fees remain the same even if these weekday sessions are not attended.
